In mid May 2010, BIER conducted its semi-annual meeting, hosted by The Coca-Cola Company, in Berlin, Germany. The meeting was attended by 44 people representing more than 20 unique member companies, stakeholder organizations and prospective new members.
Highlights of the meeting included breakout sessions for the GHG and Water Footprinting Working Groups and the kick-off of BIER’s annual benchmarking study. Representatives from Sustainable Agriculture Initiative and CropLife International participated in an open stakeholder dialogue session with BIER members. Attendess also toured the Berlin Wasserbetriebe Surface Water Treatment Plant.
The next meeting is scheduled for October.
