I’ve been privileged to be part of family-owned Bacardi for more than 11 years and, during that time, have held a variety of communications roles. Today, as Vice President of Global Corporate Communications, I lead a team responsible for internal communications, external communications, social media, and our heritage collection, which encompasses archives protecting a 160-year-legacy. My aim is to share our unique story, showcase our culture and drive engagement with our people, our consumers and our partners.

My responsibilities include developing and implementing sustainability strategies across Casa Herradura operations related to climate action, water stewardship, circular economy, sustainable packaging and sustainable agriculture. I support global key performance indicators of SeMQPDC including Safety and Environment, Quality, Production, Delivery, Costs, and lead with a Responsible Production mindset.

I oversee our climate strategy including our 2025 Climate Action Goal, which is to reduce our emissions by 25 percent and work towards our science-based targets, as well as overseeing our ambition to achieve net zero by 2040 across our value chain.

The Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER) is a technical coalition of leading global beverage companies working together to advance environmental sustainability within the beverage sector. Formed in 2006, BIER is a common voice across the beverage sector, speaking to influence global standards on environmental sustainability aspects most relevant to the sector, affect change both up and down the supply chain and share best practices that raise the bar for environmental performance of the industry. By doing so, BIER is able to monitor data and trends, engage with key stakeholders, develop best practices, and guide a course of action for the future.
