The Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER) completed its 12th global benchmarking study – a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of water, energy, and emissions efficiency in the beverage industry.
The Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER) continued in its 17th year, aiming to reduce resource consumption, mitigate impacts, and ensure sustainable continuity and the future of the global beverage industry.
For the past 17 years, BIER has been the model of industry collaboration and has continuously advanced the development of sustainable solutions through beverage industry-specific data collection, methodologies, standard-setting, best practice sharing, and thought leadership.
As we enter the final quarter of 2023, not only do we find ourselves reflecting on recent events such as World Water Week and Climate Week NYC, but most organizations are in the planning stages for the coming year. These reflections combine to generate the coming year and multi- year’s focus, goals, and commitments.
World Water Week is the leading conference on global water issues, held every year since 1991. A non-profit event, co-created with leading organizations, World Water Week attracts a diverse mix of participants from many professional backgrounds and every corner of the world.
Answering the collective call for climate action and accelerated water stewardship, BIER recently released two influential guides: Internal Carbon Pricing – An Implementation Guide for Beverage Companies and The Water Replenishment Insights Document.
